Glad to be Globe Story: If there's a will, there's a way..

Sometimes, when you're not with the people you love, it makes you feel worried. You don't know if they have eaten, don't know where they are, what they're doing and who's with them. Thank God for technology. To hear their voice when they call makes gives you a virtual hug that tells you to calm down. A Text message gives you a virtual touch that tells you that they're thinking of you too. But what happens when they have the phone but doesn't have a load? Uh-Oh.

August of 2012

Just resigned from my old job and is working as a wedding coordinator for Events on Demand. I volunteered  to man our space for a Bridal Fair. That same night, It rained so hard. My boss was supposed to drop me off at Riverbanks Mall but it's just raining so he thought of dropping me off at our house since it's just 15 mins away. There weren't any jeepneys and noticed that the cars are all doing U-Turns. To my surprise, our street was flooded. Decided to just walk my way through our house. 

The next day, It's still raining, and anytime the flood would go inside the house. Wow, just wow. There's still electricity, So what I did was I charged my phone because I know that my Aunt would call me non stop, and It might just drain my phone. 

That same night, the flood entered the house. And as expected my aunt is also invading my phone through text message. And uh-oh, Can't reply because I don't have load. No one can even go out of the house because it's too dangerous. It's dark and is flooded, I bet the stores are all closed.

The phone still beeps, my Aunt's aren't calling but is bombarding me with text messages, about the news, forwarding tweets about the typhoon, and yes, she's now mad. Mad because she's worried and I haven't texted. They know how bad it is when it rains here. I'm trying not to mind her text messages and was just browsing messages I have on my phone. Trying to keep my mind off the guilt, because I want to text her so bad but I can't -___-, then I saw a message from Globe that I might have read but didn't mind before.

So I did followed the instruction. Texted my Aunt. Told her that I'm okay and that I don't have load and that the stores are closed,  and that I just registered on Globe Emergency text. and tadaaaaaah, she ain't mad anymore :)

This is just something that I want to share. I know that if you really want something, you would do all the possible things just to get in touch with your love ones, But I can't just risk my life or Adam's life by going outside in the middle of the night just to find a store and buy a load! -__- So yeah, let me tweak the quote: " IF THERE'S A WILL, THERE'S A WAY.. -- and if  the way is flooded, Check your inbox for globe's promos and be surprised that GLOBE ALREADY FOUND A WAY! :D

This is my Glad to be Globe Story. It might not be to ma drama or ma Action, but  you guys might find this promo useful too! Just wanted to thank Globe for finding ways and for making ways possible! Too sad that I lost my phone, but would still choose to be with globe once I'll be able to buy myself a new phone.. Kasi nga it's True that SA GLOBE, LAHAT POSIBLE! :)

NUFFNANG x WACOAL : SURPRISE MOVIE SCREENING

Nuffnang has always been my savior. I love going out and watching movies, And during this "I'm already broke" moments, here they come, giving out contests, tickets or freebies. Won tickets after joining the Wear It Your Way with Wacoal contest. 'Twas supposed to be a surprise movie screening, But i just knew it would be Man of Steel, I don't know, Maybe I just have super powers, eh? lol. It was a ticket for 2, So guess who's my plus 1? Tadahhhhhhhhhhh, It's ze boyfriend! (As always, lol)

'Twas our first time going to Resorts World, And we commuted from Marikina to Pasay, So we expected that we'd get lost or It's going to rain and We'd get stuck in traffic.. In short, We expected the worst since It really is far and the weather has not been cooperative for a week now (We we're kind of negative that day, so sorry, haha!) But naaaaaaah, Travel time was just an hour and a half, no traffic, Train was free (We forgot it's holiday) Mehehehe!

We arrived early, So after the registration, We went out and had a quick snack at Mcdo.

We went back around 8:30pm, just in time cause they're already starting to go inside the movie house :) There were free popcorns and colas waiting on everyone's seats. I also love how the cinema looks, Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, lol. Nuffnang and Wacoal then chose 10 bloggers who tweeted about the event, Price? 1 thousand pesos worth of GC from Wacoal :-) I was one of them, Yahoooooooo! 

Man of Steel is just awesome. I just don't like his chest hair. Hehehehe!

Overall, Nice event, Nice cinema, Nice movie = AWESOME DAY is AWESOME!

NUFFNANG x KETTLE KORN MOVIE PREMIERE: FAST AND THE FURIOUS 6

Last night, After Work, I went straight to Shangrila to watch the movie premiere of Fast and the Furious 6.. I'm not really a fan of the previous fast and the furious, I don't even remember if I was able to watch any of the ff movies.. So when I was informed that I won tickets, I youtubed ff6's trailer, and yes, I know I'll enjoy the movie, because the trailer is nothing but dope. Flying cars? Cool effects? I got all sorts of excited inside me. So yeah, Took a cab, went straight to shang with the boyfriend. Thank God my office is just near Shang.

What I wore last night :)

Place was jam packed, I guess alot of bloggers showed up. Was not able to take a lot of pictures because I'm running out of battery ( Blame the boyfriend.), And sorry for the quality of photos, I only use my phone's cam on taking pictures! x) Anyways, there were foods, also free kettle korn popcorns that are being distributed by their staffs. To bad We weren't able to get one, cause they ran out of stock:( Huhuhuhu.

The movie started around 10pm. And maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. From start until the last part, I was O____O Amazed. I love everything about the movie. Action Scenes, Effects, Story, Lesson, Actors, etc.. CHECK, CHECK, CHECK! I really am not good on writing movie reviews, But If I were to rate the movie, I'll give a 5 out of 5. I don't know. I'm just so amazed, I'm sorry. lol

Kettle Korn: Poppin’ Fun All The Time!

When asked about what I want to be when I grow up, The 5 year old me would always answer "Gusto ko Maging Artista" So I joined free drama classes back in Elementary, Joined Declamation and though I wasn't really blessed with good voice, I joined singing contests in our school. Bahahaha. And that was Elementary. When I was in High school, I created this notebook filled with stories I made, And Imagined it being a movie. And that's the reason Why I took up Mass communication as my course back in College. Now I'm Thinking, What If I'd be a Star on My own movie.. What would it be? Then I came up with this. :D

The story would be about Little Miss Sunshine's Adventure. It would be the life of a Little Miss Sunshine, How she gives Inspiration and Light to other peoples lives. How she manages to smile even with her own life problems. How she sees and shares positivity to other people. The movie would end with a lesson showing that after the rain is a rainbow, and that all you need to do is to release the Little Miss Sunshine in you.

Oha!

People needs this kind of movie nowadays, Something that doesn't revolve around boy-girl relationship. Something that would leave something to their hearts :) I Imagine this watching this with my family, with an Ice Cold Cola matched with the sweet and salty taste of Kettle Korn, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm yum! 

Hahahaha. Sorry, I just need to squeeze this in, because a movie is not a movie without a popcorn in hand. And since I'm not a fan of salty food, I'd prefer Kettle Korn's sweet with a touch of salty taste! Hmmm, the taste of caramelized pop corn is just making me drooooooooool. hihihihihi. So yeah, Who knows? Maybe I'd get to be what I wanted to be when I was 5, huh? lol

Ask anyone that knows me personally to describe me, and I bet my whole month's salary they would tell you how talkative and energetic I am. And since I know myself better, let me add this: I am bubbly and A very happy person. And if I were to be compared to a color, I would be a RAINBOW (well, that is if there's such a thing as color rainbow, lol).

My style is kind of predictable and tomboyish and I prefer jeans than dress, sneakers or doll shoes than heels. But I don't let my being  make me look boring, by wearing a lot of colors. And since I like to explore and try new things, From flats, I have tried and I am loving wedges now. :)

I like colors. If I'd wear a black or a white top, I'd make sure that I would wear bright colored shoes, or maybe a colorful cardigan. I don't let my mood affect the clothes I am wearing. If I am happy, I would wear colorful clothes, If I am mad or sad, I'd still wear colorful clothes or I'll wear black but I would make sure that I'd either wear colored pants or a bright colored shoe. I just don't get the point of wearing dulled color clothes when you're already sad, It would just make you look more down and sad and i love looking at the mirror, so I don't want to look at the mirror and just be reminded of how sad i am. I have just learned to not let sadness eat you. I'd let my colorful clothes eat my sadness away!
